Students of technology and management stream require a strong base of practical and computer knowledge. that’s why BITM has emphasized on giving the students a stronghold on computer operations and practical operations of other equipments since its inception. The institutions are well equipped with various labs. There also multiple computer centers provided with Hi-tech computers. The centre tries to provide the students with sufficient knowledge about the operations / programming and uses of computers in their routine activities. Each student has been allotted a fixed number of hours for computer training. The State-of-the-art centre is a key resource for providing the students with hands-on-experience.

The department from 2009 has been offering undergraduate degree.The teachers and students are actively involved in research and Development work The current areas include Bond graph and Computer Aided Design techniques, Computer Aided Manufacturing, Flexible Manufacturing Systems and Robotics, Intelligent Machines and Systems, Solid Modelling and Computer Graphics, Application of Neural Networks, Systems Dynamic Simulation, Precision Engineering Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems, Combustion Modelling and Jet Impingement Heat Transfer.

BITM is structured with well furnished classrooms specially designed for students. They are spacious, airy and well-lit having the latest training aids with audio-visual interaction. Well furnished small rooms are also available for specialization and tutorial classes. They are also used for other consultation purposes.
